Sihanoukville Institute of Business and Technology
Sihanoukville Institute of Business and Technology (SIBT), established on October 31, 2018, is a Cambodia-China joint-ventured applied higher education institution. The Institute adheres to our philosophy of share, industry, bold and true. Characterized by internationalization, specialization, informatization, and integration of production and education, the Institute is committed to cultivating high-skilled professionals and specialists with a global vision, ample knowledge, advanced technology, and high morality that are essential for the national economic development. The Institute, backed up by the sophisticated international faculty, is firmly committed to the promotion of teachers' teaching, research, technology transfer, and students abilities for career development. Well equipped with such essential skills as Chinese, English and computer, students are to be well prepared for the changes and challenges in the globalization development. With the notion of share and industry, our students are guided to be bold and true, and make progress through their own endeavors.
On behalf of the board of directors and school council of SIBT, I would like to extend our gratitude to the royal government of Cambodia, especially the Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sports for their generous concern, guidance, and support. I would also like to thank Chinese government and all walks of life in China for their attention and support. We will uphold the concept of international advanced education standard, integrate sophisticated educational resources from China, Cambodia, and the world, give full play to the functions of SIBT in academic education, vocational training, scientific and technological services, and humanities exchanges. We will strive for developing the Institute to be a dynamic hub for Chinese talents in Sihanoukville and the whole country, satisfying the country's need of high-level technical and professional talents, and contributing for the exchange of education, culture, science and technology between Cambodia, China and other countries in Lancang-Mekong Region.
BACKGROUND OF SIBT
Sihanoukville Institute of Business and Technology (SIBT) is a private higher education institution approved by the royal government of Cambodia under Sub-Decree No. 136, under the supervision of Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport of Cambodia. The Institute, located in the Sihanoukville Special Economic Zone (SSEZ), is the first Chinese featured higher education institution established in Cambodia, with Chinese language as one of its major teaching and working languages. With the generous support of governments, enterprises and social organizations in Cambodia and China, the Institute focuses on strengthening higher education, vocational training, scientific and technological services, and cultural exchanges between China and Cambodia.
To achieve this goal, the Institute strives to find highly experienced professors to provide high quality training to our students. The Institute has received strong support for teaching and management from many prestigious universities in China to ensure the quality of education with international standards. In addition, in the Sihanoukville Special Economic Zone (SSEZ), around 170 international companies and factories create plenty of great opportunities for students to practice and work during their studies.
SIBT'S RECOGNITION
SIBT is a private Chinese higher education institution established in Preah Sihanouk Province, Cambodia. The Institute has been recognized and officially approved to its own operations by Royal Government of Cambodia through Sub-Decree No. 136. The Institute is under the supervision of The Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of Cambodia.
SIBT FACILITIES
SIBT is a private higher education institution being operated in Sihanoukville Special Economic Zone, Preah Sihanouk Province, a south-western part of Cambodia. Sihanoukville is Cambodia's premier beach town, sporting miles of white sand beaches, abundant excellent seafood, a heady party scene, and several nearby tropical islands. The town sits on a peninsula jutting into the warm waters of the Gulf of Thailand. Beaches of fine pearl-white sand line the shore around the peninsula with each offering its own unique character, from the busy and popular Ochheuteal Beach to the secluded chill-out far end of Otres Beach. Sihanoukville is a renowned international tourist city with one of the top ten sand beaches over the world. SIBT, by virtue of its location and diversity, offers many advantages to students. They may learn from faculty in a variety of extraordinary environments.
On campus, the Institute has large rooms equipped with fans and air-conditioning used for class rooms, offices, dormitory, and labs. Both class rooms and campus environments are quiet, good, clean, safe, and full of fresh air. In the rainy season, the whole campus looks fresh with green grass and trees with fresh wind coming from the sea. Even in the hottest time of year, the cool sea wind can still make the campus at ease.
